Since Harm and Elke make these plant plates, walking outside is quite an experience. Suddenly they look at the nature surrounding them from a different perspective, eyeing the plants, flowers and weeds they encounter along the way. What’s an ordinary twig at first sight may just give a very surprising and esthetic effect, pressed in a porcelain plate. Sometimes, if you look closely, you can tell from the print in which season a plate was made. Some plants or flowers can only be found for a few months a year. The plates – not covered with glaze – are often hung on the wall and are dishwasher safe.
